Fight against Coronavirus: Paul Biya releases 58 billion

The Minister of Public Health gave the statistics related to the fight against the pandemic, as well as the last figures of the evolution of the disease, during a session of oral questions this Thursday April 16, 2020 at the hemicycle of Ngoa-Ekélé.

Cameroon has developed a response plan against the spread of COVID-19, whose budget amounts to CFAF 58 billion, according to the Honorable Cabral Libii, reporting on his Twitter account, the words of the Minister of Health Public, Malachie Manaouda, who went this Thursday, April 16, 2020 to a session of oral questions at the National Assembly. 

The boss of Health delivered to elected officials of the Nation, the latest statistics on the evolution of the pandemic in Cameroon, including figures on cases of contamination hidden for some time by the ministry. There are now 922 people tested positive.

The leader of the Cameroonian Party for National Reconciliation (PCRN) also reports that Cameroon has a maximum capacity of 18,900 tests, with around 300,000 ordered from foreign partners. The same is true for respirators, 100, also ordered. The delivery of these products is scheduled for April 18, 2020, adds Cabral Libii. 

It should be noted that during its daily press briefing on Wednesday April 15, MINSANTE declared 165 people already healed, while deploring 17 deaths.
