Cameroonian army prepares massive assault on Covid-19

The Minister for the Presidency in charge of defense, Joseph BETI ASSOMO paid a visit yesterday Friday, April 17, 2020, at the Atelier Central de Couture of the Logistic Reserve of the Army and the Gendarmerie. The objective of this visit was to touch on the state of progress of mask manufacturing by the Cameroonian defense and security forces. Launched the day after the appearance of the first cases of coronavirus in Cameroon, this workshop has a production capacity of 2,500 masks per day and aims to equip soldiers in masks in order to obey WHO prescriptions in matters of for Coronavirus prevention.

BETI ASSOMO Joseph was in the company of the Secretary of State for Defense in charge of Veterans Affairs and War Victims, Mr. Koumpa Issa, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense, Mr. Kamsouloum Saïd and military officials. 

The masks will be distributed to all military personnel throughout the territory.

They will prevent the spread of the virus within the Defense and Security Forces.
