Cameroon: Fame Ndongo orders payment of more than 3 billion to teachers

It is exactly 3,339,420. 000 FCFA, corresponding to the first quarter of 2020, specifies the Head of Communication in said ministry.

The teachers of Cameroonian universities will soon go to the cash register, to receive their bonuses for modernizing research, for the first quarter of 2020. The Minister of Higher Education, Jacques Fame Ndongo, ordered his colleague from Finance, Louis Paul Motaze, payment of the sum of 3,339,420. 000 (Three billion three hundred thirty nine million four hundred twenty thousand) FCFA.

"Documents relating to the payment of the premium concerned 3,339,420. 000 (Three billion three hundred thirty nine million four hundred twenty thousand) FCFA, were transmitted by the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, to the Minister of Finance, who has already taken all the appropriate measures to the effective payment of these premiums within a reasonable time, without prejudice to the economic situation ”, informs a press release from the head of the Communication Unit at MINESUP, Jean Paul Mbia, this Friday April 17, 2020.

MINESUP also calls on the teachers to be patient while the Ministry of Finance takes care of this matter.

This exit comes as if by accident after an alert launched on Friday morning by the journalist Boris Berthold on social networks, accusing the Minister Jacques Fame Ndongo of having diverted the bonuses of lessons, in particular a remainder of the last quarter of the year 2019, and those of the first trismestre 2020 for which the ministry announces the imminent payment.
