United States calls for respect of human rights in the Anglophone regions of Cameroon

US calls for regard of human rights in North-West and South-West Cameroon, highlights sanctions.

The American Senate on February 27, 2020 distributed a determination calling on the Cameroonian authorities and the separatists in North-West and South-West Cameroon, to respect human rights. 

Among other things, it notes that "fact-finding missions in Cameroon seem serve to progress peace and implement equity by holding mindful parties responsible for human rights mishandle, and advancing compromise." 

The determination moreover highlights authorize Cameroon is confronting as a result of human rights infringement. 

"Secretary of State has freely assigned the Inspector General of the Cameroon Gendarmerie as ineligible for section into the U.S. due to his association in critical debasement related to natural life trafficking" the determination peruses.

It also mentions Cameroon's dismissal from the list of AGOA beneficiaries.
