Coronavirus: So far we have neither vaccine nor treatment' Minister of Public Health said

We will have to wait 12 to 18 months for either a vaccine or a treatment...

It will take time for a coronavirus vaccine or treatment to be available. That is what the Minister of Public Health said.

Manaouda Malachie hosted a press conference on the pandemic on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. After confirming 3 new cases of contamination, Manaouda Malachie indicated that it will take time to have a vaccine or treatment.

"The Coronavirus has no cure. So far we have neither vaccine nor treatment. But the good news is that there are already prototypes. We will have to wait 12 to 18 months for either a vaccine or a treatment, ”said Manaouda Malachie.

During his meeting with the press, he explained the protocol used by Cameroonian doctors to treat the sick.

"We have described how we feel when we suspect the Coronavirus. It is cough or fever. When you have a fever, you are given something to lower the fever. When you have a cough, you are given something for a sore throat. When you have another symptom, you are given something adequate until the virus disappears, ”revealed Manaouda Malachi.

Cameroon currently has 13 cases of coronavirus contamination.
