Coronavirus: 70-year-old Yaoundé woman suspected of being sick, declared Virus free

The number of people infected with Coronavirus in Cameroon has not changed. It was believed that the number of patients who is two people, should change. The reason being that suspicion hung over a 70 year old lady. Fortunately, examinations of the said lady at the Center pasteur in Yaoundé have shown that she is not a carrier of the Covid-19. The information was given to the Ministry of Health.

Recall that the first case of coronavirus infection was made public by Dr. Malachie Manaouda the Minister of Health. It was March 6, 2020. He is a 58-year-old Frenchman. He came to Cameroon on February 24, 2020. Minister Manaouda said that he was placed in isolation at the care center of the central hospital in Yaoundé.

On March 7, 2020, in another press release, the Minister of Health informed the public that a second case of coronavirus contamination had been registered in Cameroon. This time the carrier of the covid-19 is a Cameroonian. However, she was in contact with the French who entered Cameroon with the disease.

As since the onset of this disease in China, Manaouda recommends that people comply with hygiene rules.
