Biya's resignation: Penda Ekoka reveals everything from Germany, Deutsche Welle report

Suspicions are rife in Cameroon on the rumor that announces the upcoming resignation of Paul Biya and which would be revealed by a German newspaper. In this climate of uncertainty, Deutsche Welle has extended its microphone to Penda Ekoka, the ex-adviser of Biya who has become an ally of Maurice Kamto in the resolution of the socio-political crisis which has shaken Cameroon for more than 5 years already. In Germany for a while for lobbying, he told the press "Germany can carry all its weight".

Here is the full post from Deutsche Welle and Penda Ekoka's reaction

The conflict in English-speaking regions has forced more than 700,000 people to flee their homes and has left more than 3,000 dead. After the failure of the national dialogue, the resolution of the crisis could come from outside.

In Cameroon, the two English-speaking regions of the North West and the South West are still the scene of violent clashes between the army and the secessionists. The latest incident dates back to Sunday, December 1, when a plane from the Cameroonian airline Camair-co came under fire when it landed at Bamenda airport. The airline did not give details on the origin of the shootings.

While in Germany, the former economic adviser to the Cameroonian president, Christian Penda Ekoka, now in the opposition, asked Berlin for help to resolve this crisis.
