Assassination attempt: 'Maurice Kamto' makes an important announcement

The president of the MRC intends to continue his political actions despite the alleged assassination attempt which he suffered on March 13.

In Cameroon, Paul Biya's main challenger for the 2018 presidential election is doing well. According to the 3rd president of the MRC, Emmanuel Simh, the opponent Maurice Kamto is serene despite the probable threats on his life. 

The Movement for the Renaissance of Cameroon (Mrc) denounced on Friday an aborted assassination attempt against its leader in Garoua. The respondent, a gendarme, was taken to task by activists and sympathizers of Maurice Kamto and found in possession of a firearm.

"? Maurice Kamto judges that what can happen in such conditions would not prevent him from doing what he is committed to in politics and that he will not yield to this kind of threats?", Confided Me Emmanuel Simh to 

For Yaoundé, the presence of this armed gendarme near Maurice Kamto is part of an ordinary intelligence operation. A version that the MRC that continues to challenge the Mrc even if for the time being, the defendant is not yet the subject of any legal action. 

It is very unlikely that Maurice Kamto will make a public appearance in the coming days, his official agenda providing nothing in this direction. A meeting of the Executive Board is scheduled shortly to determine the follow-up to this case.
