Tension Inside Etoudi: Paul Biya refuses to take Macron on the phone

It was Journalist Denis Nkwebo who informed the public via a tweet he made on February 27, 2020.

"Paul Biya refuses to take Macron on the phone". The statement is from Denis Nkwebo, president of the National Union of Journalists of Cameroon.

Recall that since February 22, 2020, the news in Cameroon is carried by the burning statements that French President Emmanuel Macron made that day. On his way to the opening of the Agricultural Show, French President Macron was arrested by the activist Calibri Calibro. The activist presented as the founder of the Anti-Sadinard Brigade, among other things, indicated that a genocide is currently taking place in Cameroon. He talked about the anglophone crisis. Responding to the latter, Emmanuel Macron hinted that France has something to do with the release of the president of the Movement for the Renaissance of Cameroon, Maurice Kamto. And that he will put pressure on President Paul Biya to resolve the said crisis.

“I put pressure on Paul Biya so that he first dealt with the subject of the English-speaking area and its opponents. I said, I don't want to see each other in Lyon until Kamto is released. He was released because there was pressure. And there the situation is deteriorating again. I will call President Biya next week and we will put the maximum pressure to end this situation, "said Macron.

Words for which, Cameroonians took to the streets, to support Paul Biya. But also to denounce Macron's tone and declarations.
