President Biya's birthday: Brenda's moving message to his father

This February 13, 2020 President Paul Biya receives birthday messages from all those who love him, starting with members of his nuclear family.

This February 13, 2020, the counter of the number of years of Paul Biya marked a new index. Chantal Biya's husband is blowing out her 87th candle. 

For this, happy birthday messages flood the web: Facebook, Twitter, to name a few. 

"Happy birthday in advance to the best dad in the world," wrote Brenda Biya on her Twitter account in the closing hours of February 12, 2020. 

As a reminder, Paul Biya was born on February 13, 1933 in Mvomeka'a, a village located in the arrondissement of Meyomessala, department of Dja-et-Lobo, region of the South. 

Civil status

The son of Anastasie Eyenga Ellé and Etienne Mvondo Assam leads the school cycle at the Catholic school of Nden then the secondary at the seminary of Edéa and Akono and the general Leclerc high school of Yaoundé. 

Academic curriculum 

Paul Biya then flew abroad with the sole objective of continuing his studies. 

He attended in turn: the Lycée Louis-Le-Grand, the University of the Sorbonne, the Institute of Political Studies where he holds a bachelor's degree in public law in 1961 and the institute of higher studies in France -sea. 

The young graduate entered the Cameroonian Administration in 1962. Ahmadou Ahidjo first gave him the post of Chargé de Mission at the Presidency of the Republic then, Minister Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic in 1968. 

Prime Minister then President of the Republic

Seven years later, precisely on June 30, 1975, Paul Biya was appointed Prime Minister. Function that will occupy until November 3, 1982 because on November 4 of the same year, his predecessor resigns and passes the witness to Nnom Ngui on November 6, 1982 according to the forecasts of the constitution of the time. 

Political journey 

The Man of the Renewal created his own political party on March 24, 1985 in Bamenda in the North-West and whom he baptized Democratic Rally of the Cameroonian People (RDPC). 

Paul Biya has therefore been at the Etoudi Palace for 38 years after having officially defied the elections of 1987, 1992, 1997, 2004, 2011 and then 2018.
