Ngarbuh Mass Killing: Joseph Beti Assomo denies the reports

Joseph Beti Assomo says Soldiers did not target civilians in Ngarbuh village but Amba Fighters and that only 5 were killed.

The Cameroon's Defense Minister, Joseph Beti Assomo has denied the reports of the alleged killing of 32 people on 14th February, 2020 in Donga Mantung Division, North West region.

Beti Assomo said that Soldiers did not target civilians on that faithful day, he added that there was a gun battle between soldiers and Ambazonia fighters on the day of the scene.

As a result of that, there was an explosion which is the caused of the death of the villagers. It was not intentional, he concluded.

The residents insisted that there was never a frontation because the soldiers invaded their village at night and killed the civilians in their sleep.
