Crisis meeting in Etoudi: ministers seriously 'cooked' at the request of Biya

Announced to be held yesterday Tuesday in the early evening, the extraordinary council of ministers convened by the President of the Republic Paul Biya was canceled at the last minute.

According to a Cameroonian Web source close to the Etoudi Palace, the majority of government ministers were present at the meeting but the tenant of the premises did not show up.

In place of the Council of Ministers, it is an interrogation that those concerned have undergone on the part of close collaborators of the Head of State. They were long "cooked" on their achievements, their projects under their differences and their action plan for 2020.

An official statement by the Minister of Communication and government spokesperson had been scheduled in this direction. But instead public opinion was entitled to the government's report on the conduct of legislative and municipal elections.

Several sources had mentioned the low turnout in Sunday's elections as the main subject to furnish the discussions between Paul Biya and his ministers.

It should be recalled that unanimously, the international community and national opinion noted the lack of enthusiasm for this election. A situation that is only the result of the call for boycott launched by the Movement for the Renaissance of Cameroon (MRC) and other opposition political parties.
