Cameroon Massacres: figures that shatter France revealed

The current Cameroonian socio-political context leads certain political and media players to delve into the history of the country.

If some Cameroonian citizens continue to think that the improvement of their living conditions or even the political alternation would come from the mother country, France, others believe that the latter would be the author of the people's ill-being.

It is perhaps in this last premise that this publication of the president of the National Union of Journalists of Cameroon, Dénis Kwebo, inscribes when quoting sources, affirms: "With a single helicopter, France massacred 120,000 Bamileke and Bassa in Cameroon. 20,000 dead in 1960 alone, according to General Max Briand; 20,000 to 100,000 deaths between December 1959 and July 1961, according to the magazine Réalités”.

Remember that since the interview between Macron and an activist on February 22, 2020 in Paris, an anti-French feeling has emerged within Cameroonian public space. Several demonstrations are organized in the streets to denounce the interference of France in the internal affairs of Cameroon.
