University of Yaoundé student arrested for allegedly killing a fellow student

A suspect is being held in custody after he stabbed a Chadian student to death in Yaoundé.

The victim, Abakar Soumaine Kalli reportedly died on Friday morning from serious injuries he sustained during a fight with a fellow student from the University of Yaounde 2, SOA.

It was during an event that the fighting had erupted at a snack bar called “Dreamland” in SOA, a university village located 15 km from the capital Yaoundé.

It all started outside the bar, where Abakar Soumaine Kalli was stabbed and immediately transferred to the SOA district hospital where he receiving treatment but later gave up the ghost at 2 am in the next day.
