Election boycott: Atanga Nji speaks out, says elections must take place in the 10 regions of Cameroon

The minister of territorial administration Atanga Nji in a meeting with the governors since yesterday, laughed at Cameroonians who wants to boycott the upcoming legislative and municipal elections of February 09, 2020 in the country. According to the information presented to him by the governors, the Minister arrives at insignificant number of "boycotters" of February 09 elections.

"According to reports received today from the governors of the regions, clearly demonstrate that those who advocate the boycott of the elections do not represent 0.0075% of the national electorate," Atanga Nji told his lieutenants. 

The minister used the opportunity to remind the governors of the given instructions from the head of state, Paul Biya.

"The elections must take place throughout the national territory, namely the ten regions, the 58 departments and the 360 ​​arrondissements", he insists before adding that "a special and substantial security device has already been deployed in the North-West and South-West regions and will remain there during and after the double ballot of February 09 ”.
