Breaking: President Buhari signs finance bill into law


The president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, has signed the finance bill into law.

Buhari signed the bill on Monda, 13th January, 2020. He made the development known to Nigerians via his twitter handle in the afternoon of Monday.

“I am pleased to announce that this morning I signed into Law the Finance Bill, 2019,” he tweeted.

Border closure not effective in the North - Ex Director says

The former Director of Trade and Investment, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Rasheed Akinkuolie has said that Border closure in Nigeria is not effective in the Northern regions of the country, says It's effective mainly in the South and difficult to enforce in the North.

Making references to his experience in Cameroon, Rasheed Akinkuolie said domestic products that are manufactured in Nigeria were struggled to Cameroon, especially petroleum products were being moved into Cameroon with the help of gendarmes. Added that such businesses between Nigerians and gendarmes cannot be stopped in a case where government agents are the accomplices of the smugglers.
