Cyrille Bojiko made a tweet yesterday January 9, 2020. In this tweet, the Director of Radio Balafon announces that 11 alleged separatists have been arrested. They were in a truck in which the Limbe gendarmerie company found boxes of 12-gauge ammunition, a gun and food. The information has not yet been made public by the authorities.

But it should be emphasized that as the legislative and municipal elections draw closer, the separatists are increasing their acts to disrupt the double ballot scheduled for February 9. For example, they torched the seat of Elecam in the Donga Matung on Tuesday, January 07, 2020. Before this act, they set fire to the homes of certain elected members of the Social Democratic Front. We can quote the Honorable Mbah Zam, the mayor of Batibo who ended up withdrawing from the race. They announced that they would disrupt the double ballot. And they promised exemplary sanctions to those who went to vote.

The separatists have indicated that they are organizing a lockdown. It will take place between 07 and 12 February 2020. In the press release which they made public, they indicated that "anyone seen outside of towns and villages will be considered as an enemy and treated as such".
