Amba Fighters reportedly burned down Elecam office in Donga Matung

The separatists claimed responsibility for the fire at the office of Elections Cameroon that occurred in the Northwest on Tuesday.

The seat of Elecam in Donga Matung was burned down Tuesday, January 07, 2020. The action is claimed by separatists who announced that it is a deterrent method. 

The legislative and municipal elections take place on February 09 in Cameroon. An appointment which is not to the taste of militants of the Amazonia. The latter threaten to prevent the holding of elections in the North West and South West regions.

They announced a lockdown of the English-speaking regions for five days, starting on February 07, two days before the legislative and municipal elections. This operation ends on February 12. They threaten to retaliate against anyone who does not follow this slogan.
