Socio-political crisis: What political game does Paul Biya play?

Paul Biya has called an extraordinary session of the National Assembly and the Senate on Friday, December 13, 2019.

The information made official surprises more than one at this decisive stage of the electoral process in the context of the next legislative and municipal elections in February 2020.

It is a real subject of curiosity that gives rise to all political assumptions.  The agenda for the extraordinary sessions of the upper and lower houses of Parliament have not been released.

According to some indiscretions, the implementation of the eagerly awaited resolutions of the recent Grand National Dialogue is on the agenda.  With the prospect of appeasing the parties in bloody conflicts for three difficult years of crisis in the North-West and the South-West of Cameroon, would Paul Biya intend to activate the special status of the two so-called English-speaking regions?

After the visit of the president of the MRC, Maurice Kamto this Wednesday December 11 on the set of the international television France24, the possibility of a postponement of the elections of February 9 could be the subject of great debate.  Information that resonates badly for many candidates who are already engaged in the preparations for the electoral campaign after the validation of their lists by Election Cameroon (ELECAM).
