Anglophone Crisis: Paul and Chantal Biya give food to Internally Displaced people

Paul and Chantal Biya offer a special gift for the end of year celebrations to internally displaced people in the North West and South West regions.  The convoy made up of a hundred trucks loaded with foodstuffs, sanitary kits and sleeping materials left Yaoundé this Saturday afternoon.  The formal ceremony at the town hall was presided over by the minister of territorial administration Paul Atanga Nji, in charge of the emergency humanitarian assistance plan.

For the second time in the space of 6 months, the presidential couple are showing their outburst of generosity towards people in distress in the Noso.  By this act, President Paul Biya and his wife give proof that Cameroon is taking care of the internally displaced.

"There is no humanitarian crisis in Cameroon. Of the 152,000 internally displaced people to date, the government has taken care of more than 160,000 internally displaced people, so we have gone beyond that. The situation is  return to normal and more than 5000 families who have returned to the Southwest and North West regions. Donations will be delivered to Yaoundé, Douala and Bafoussam.
