Paul Biya did not want to release Paul Eric Kingué, this is the reason why

The opponent Maurice Kamto and his lieutenants were at liberty since Saturday, following a decision by the President of the Republic Paul Biya.  According to revelations from the newspaper Young Africa, the caciques of Paul Biya's diet were opposed to the release of Maurice Kamto's form campaign manager, Paul Eric Kingué.

"Some caciques did not digest the threats of this former mayor of Njombé-Pendja, who was - already - sentenced to life imprisonment following his alleged participation in the riots of 2008, before being acquitted after seven years of detention by the Supreme Court,"  reveals the newspaper before making it clear that the entire staff of Kamto was finally released.

According to Jeune Afrique, the liberation of Kamto and his family is the result of long secret discussions between emissaries of Etoudi and the opponent.

As a reminder, Maurice Kamto was arrested in the context of a protest march against the results of the last presidential election of 2018.
