Deido District Hospital: towards the suspension of nurses involved

Last Friday, the social chronicle was shaken by the knife murder of a 17-year-old student from Deido's bilingual high school in the first district of Douala, the economic capital of Cameroon. The little Tsanou Rochnan Bleriot, whose memory was forgotten, was savagely stabbed by three of his comrades, one of whom had been out of high school for a long time. This Friday, March 29, 2019, was day of delivery of notebooks on behalf of the end of the 2nd quarter.

The little Tsanou Rochnan Bleriot is violently stuck with a knife, even in the bilingual school of Deido, by his comrades. The city is in turmoil before the violence of one of the killers who tears with anger and incredible violence, the chest of Tsanou Rochnan Bleriot. The student of Second is transported to the district hospital of Deido, under the tears of his comrades, especially girls who, in tears, throw themselves in the arms of each other, incredulous in the face of such a tragedy.

Nurse photographers rather than emergency

But the whole country will be as shocked by the attitude of the medical staff of the district hospital of Deido as by the actions of the assassins of Tsanou Rochnan Bleriot. Reaching what is an emergency room, rather than giving the best of themselves to try to save the little high school student, the nurses of the hospital, rather like to film him dying on his bed, with their android phones, and to convey in real time, photos on social networks. The 17-year-old, violently stabbed, is desperately fighting death. The video of social networks is too shocking, unsustainable.

Abusively called "emergency room", a block of the Deido district hospital, greets Tsanou Rochnan Bleriot bathing in a pool of blood. But the "emergency room" turns out to be rather a movie theater where nurses come and go, cheerfully film the little student who dies, already certainly in the land of death. These photographers of another kind, send the images on social networks. The death of little Tsanou Rochnan is a real spectacle.

In addition to the medical staff who do not deprive themselves of selfies, many people outside the service, enter the emergency room, and exit as they see fit.Unheard of in the history of Cameroon, for an emergency room that is more, welcomes a person with a serious pulse.

From what acts as the emergency room of the district hospital of Deido, a doctor contacted by phone by Camer.be prefers not to talk about it. "We can not call it an emergency room. You yourself have seen even the poor quality of the bed on which the little high school student was lying; the broom of people in the room, as well as the carefree, shameless and shocking photo shoot of the three nurses filming this dying child.

Can we call this emergency room? Still asks us in anonymity, an emergency doctor. And our interlocutor to add that the tragedy of the bilingual school of Deido, made known to all, the precariousness of the technical platform of the hospitals of the country.

Faced with the attitude of these nurses, the entire people cry out indignation, and call for their removal without further trial, the Cameroonian medical corps, and the Public Service.
