Ambazonia: a group of lawyers request the immediate release of Bibixy

The detention of English-speaking activist Tse Mancho Bibixy has been reviewed by Lawyers' Rights Watch Canada (LRWC).

The group of lawyers specializing in arbitrary detention (WGAD) said it had initiated a re-examination of the case involving journalist Mancho Bibixy Tse in response to LRWC's letter of 14 July 2018 describing his conviction as illegal.

The Yaoundé military court sentenced Mancho Bibixy to 15 years in prison last May, forcing the LRWC to send a letter to the head of state asking for his release.

With the help of Felix Agbor Nkongho, a human rights lawyer, the LRWC presented the task force on arbitrary detention and the charges against Mancho as a violation of human rights.

Right Watch Canada's lawyers continue to press for the release of Mancho Bibixy and those arrested in the context of the crisis in English-speaking areas.
