Anglophone Conference: How Patrick Ekema undermine Bishop Tumi

The mayor of Buea, Ekema Patrick, reportedly prevented Thursday in Buea a peaceful match authorized by the Cameroon Community Media Network, a peace project of the Presbyterian Church of Cameroon (PCC).

The head of the network, who is also the director of the CCP's Christian Radio, Reverend Forbang Geraldine, was arrested by security agents who work for the mayor. They were accused of organizing a peace game without the mayor's knowledge.

As a prelude to the meeting organized by the network for peace, a prior authorization had been requested by the organizers to the prefect of Buea Kouam Wokam Paul. It was agreed that after the match, these journalists would deliver a memo to the South West Governor.

This is not the first time that Mayor Ekema Patrick defies a group against the organization of an event in his jurisdiction. He is criticized in part for having prevented the holding of the General Conference planned in Buea. Ekema Patrick did not, in fact, sign the authorization document of the said conference in Buéa.
