Resignation of Chris Anu: virtual meeting under tension between Ambazonia ministers, chaired by His Excellency President Sisiku Ayuk Tabe

The news of the resignation of Secretary-General Chris Anu from the interim government of South Cameroon may have hit Ambazonians like a ball of lead. Many talks have been held under the table since the popular secretary of communications released his decision. Everywhere, the languages jostle to try to gather the different versions of the events which led to this regrettable result.

An accredited member of the Ambazonia Self-Defense Council (ASC) who attended the meeting chaired by His Excellency President Sisiku Ayuk Tabe presented to the Cameroon Press Group the following information about what really happened during the meeting. this crucial meeting:

1) A joint meeting of the Interim Government (IG), representatives of the Council of the Restoration (RC), representatives of the County Coordinators (CC) and the Ambazonia Independent Defense Council (ASC) was held on the 8th February 2019 between 3 pm and 7 pm: 8 pm Pacific time. HE Sisiku Ayuk Tabe Julius himself chaired this meeting.

The meeting was going well until the issue of planned conferences was raised. The Ambazonian leader asked why and how Dr. Fontem Neba's lecture was approved by the IG, but the other conference was not. And why did IG postpone the planned physical meeting, including IG, Council of the Restoration?

The responses of the members of the IG were as different as the day and the night.Obviously there was a divided GI! HE Sisiku Ayuk Tabe then decided that we had to vote. That's when Secretary Chris Anu became ballistic. He said that only the IG can vote on the issue. Sisiku Ayuk Tabe reminded him that a decision made in a common house uniting all branches of the government nullifies any decision made by the provisional government.

Secretary Chris Anu has repeatedly interrupted President Sisiku Ayuk Tabe. Finally, he made this regrettable statement: "You (Ayuk Tabe) will not be driving a prison." Chris Anu then observed that the long period of incarceration had made the imprisoned leaders of South Cameroon mentally incapable of making meaningful decisions for the fight. That was it. Then he left the meeting.

Cameroon Concord News Group has learned that US Secretary Chris Anu will issue a public statement on his decision to withdraw from the interim government. All attempts to get the former secretary of communications of Ambazonia to speak to us were in vain.
