Cameroon Crisis: 05 soldiers wounded in fresh secessionist attack

At least five soldiers were injured Wednesday in clashes between security forces and separatist fighters in Widikum, Momo Department in the northwestern region, sources said.

According to sources, the separatists launched on Wednesday an attack against a military brigade in Widikum, receiving a farm riposte of the Cameroonian soldiers. Although five soldiers were seriously injured, the army managed to push the separatists back into their lair.

In addition, wounded soldiers of the Mamfe Rapid Intervention Battalion were transported to Batibo for adequate medical treatment.

Moreover, since the slogan of lockdown (10 days of dead city) instituted by the leaders of the imaginary state "Ambazonia", the English-speaking area is the subject of fierce fighting between separatists and soldiers of the Cameroonian army.
