BIR intercepts over 100 migrants in South West

A boat with Malians, Burkinabe and Nigerians on board was boarded off the coast of Cameroon.

The makeshift ship had about 200 people on board. 179 according to military sources.

The boat was boarded by the Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR) this Wednesday, February 13 off the coast of Cameroon. In the South West region.

According to security sources, the boat carried more than 5 nationalities, including Malians, Burkinabe or Nigerians.

They were landed at Idenau and are currently being held by the police.According to the army, the occupants of this boat are migrants who come from West Africa and go to Gabon. They would also be without identity documents.
