About 30 MRC supporters join Kamto in Kondengui

New supporters and sympathizers of the MRC party were sent to Kondengui Prison early Thursday, February 14, after being heard by the military court in a process that ended at 3 am in Yaoundé.

Like the MRC party, President Maurice Kamto, his supporters and sympathizers, are accused of insurrection, rebellion, complicity in destructive hostility to the homeland, among others.

They were held in detention centers in Yaoundé after their arrest in January 2019. The arrests took place in Cameroonian towns and villages, such as Douala, Yaoundé, Bafoussam, Mbouda and Dchange; after a peaceful protest demonstration nationwide against what they call the "electoral hold-up".
