FECAFOOT Elections: Only one application validated

We learned late Wednesday night, of the nine applications received by the electoral commission of fecafoot, only one has been validated. The other candidates were asked to complete their file.

The road seems to be traced for Seidou Mbombo Njoya, the only confirmed candidate after the Standards Committee has examined the files received. The former vice president of the federation, who is also Issa Hayatou's former chief of protocol at the Caf, is said to have benefited from the support of former Cameroonian international Samuel Eto'o.Among the candidatures to validate under reserves, those of Joseph Antoine Bell and Franck Happi. Two nominations of weight to believe several observers.

Announced by many as the successor of Tombi A Roko Sidiki, Joseph Antoine Bell could not take part in the race for the Tsinga tower as in 1996 and 2015. The Former Olympique de Marseille goalkeeper and other candidates, however, have until Friday, at 12 o'clock, the opportunity to complete their dossiers which are forwarded to the Ethics Commission for integrity control.
