Cameroon Crisis: the tempered message of governors to secessionists

During the parallel meetings in the North-West and South-West regions, the patrons of these places in particular; Bernard Okalia Bilai in the South-West and Adolphe Lafrique for the North-West called the secessionists of the virtual state of ambazonia, to lay down their arms.

Indeed, on the occasion of the distribution of donations in the department of Mezam, this Saturday, as part of the humanitarian emergency plan initiated by the head of state, the governor of the North-West region has launched a major call for the deposit of arms and the reintegration of separatist fighters. According to Adolphe Lele Lafique, those who choose to deposit weapons will not be incarcerated but reintegrated into active life.

At the same time, Okalia Bilai held a meeting with the admiring authorities of the South West region on Saturday to work for a return to calm in the region.

These reactions, moreover, consolidate the decree of the President of the Republic Paul Biya, creating a commission of disarmament and reintegration of armed men of English-speaking regions.

Remember that Cardinal Tumi had also made a similar appeal, with the aim of reigning peace in the English-speaking regions that had been shaped for two years by armed violence.
