Ambazonia: Boyo women cry for peace

Hundreds of women gathered in Fundong, Boyo Department, northwestern Cameroon last week Tuesday, to mourn those who lost their lives during the crisis in the North West and South -West of the country.

In addition, these women have called for the return of peace while urging the government to engage in dialogue and find lasting solutions to the crisis that is shaking the two English-speaking regions of the country.

It should be reiterated that Fundong was one of the hotbeds of clashes between security forces and separatist fighters, which resulted in several deaths. During these attacks, many people were also kidnapped in the area.

It is important to remember that last September, women from the two English-speaking regions gathered at Bamenda Municipal Stadium in the same perspective. They thus launched their cries of desperation by calling on the government to provide concrete solutions to the crisis in order to allow children to take the roads to school.
