Ambazonia: Bishop Tumi's message to secessionist fighters

The chairman of the organizing committee of the English-speaking General Conference urged separatist armed fighters in the north-west and south-west regions of Cameroon to drop their weapons so that dialogue can begin.

In an open letter, Cardinal Christian Tumi, archbishop emeritus of Douala, calls the combatants to lay down their arms, in order to find durable solutions to the conflict.

He also asked for time and space for his initiative (English-speaking conference) which will make them peacemakers today and tomorrow.

For the second time in a row, the Anglophone conference originally scheduled for 21-22 November in Buea, the regional capital of the south-west could not be held. The organizers of the meeting had not been able to obtain the permission of the 'administration.

The new date is not yet known.
