Alexandre Song commits to Anglophone refugees


The title of Supporter to High Profile is awarded by UNHCR to important personalities from the world of arts, culture and sport who have shown a strong and sustained interest in the activities of the HRC and who would like to commit themselves more to bring their contribution in defending our mandate.

Cameroon currently hosts around 384,570 refugees and asylum seekers, including 252,344 Central African refugees living in the three regions of the East, Adamaoua and North; A little over 99,851 Nigerian refugees in the Far North region and some 32,375 urban refugees and asylum seekers living mainly in the cities of Douala and Yaoundé. Alexandre Dimitri Song Bilong, born September 9, 1987 in Douala, is a Cameroonian international footballer who evolves to the position of midfielder.
