USA: Cameroonian reportedly abused and pregnant mentally unstable woman

A woman with a developmental disability resulting from a stroke was sexually assaulted and blistered at the beginning of this year in a St. Anthony Group Vulnerable Adult Home by a caregiver who was working there.

The alleged abuser then threatened the woman and offered her $ 700 to terminate her pregnancy in April, according to a state investigation and police records.

Divine Nde Momuluh, 39, of Andover, was charged with criminal sexual abuse of a vulnerable woman, a serious offense punishable by one year in prison and a fine of $ 3,000.

Momuluh, who was working in Dungarvin's group home of four, is accused of having sex with the woman several times, including in the basement, in a bathroom and in a room where he slept at night. The victim, who was 37 at the time, also told the police that Momuluh was going to the upstairs room where she was sleeping and "touching her during the night". She estimated that the two had had sexual contact more than ten times in the group's home, according to a criminal complaint filed last month in Hennepin County District Court.

"The [victim] stated that" sometimes "she told [Momuluh] that she did not want to have sexual contact but [he]" had persuaded me to do so with him "," according to a report by Minnesota Department of Human Inquiry. Services (DHS), which regulates facilities for adults with disabilities.

The victim had suffered a brain injury following a serious stroke after undergoing surgery in 2014, said his mother in an interview . As a result, she had "difficulties in reasoning and thinking about the implications of her decisions," says the criminal complaint.

Repeated calls to Dungarvin officials were not sent back this week. The alleged victim, who is not identified in the reports, told state investigators that she became pregnant in February. According to her, Momuluh threatened her and told her to lie about her pregnancy because he did not want to lose custody of his children or that his children saw him in prison, according to state investigators. According to their information, Momuluh offered the woman $ 700 to terminate her pregnancy.
