Maroua: Paul Biya's stay cost 90 million


For the reception of the President of the Republic and candidate for his own succession to the elections of 7 October next, the government has disbursed a sum of 90 million francs. This sum was intended for the planning, the cleaning of the city, the logistics and other provisions to reassure, favor and carry out the stay of the outgoing president.

Indeed, President Biya held this Saturday, his first meeting since the beginning of the presidential campaign on 22 September."Faced with thousands of activists from towns and villages in the Far North region, the candidate of the Cameroon People's Democratic Rally (CPDM), spoke for the first time since the publication of the tweet announcing his candidacy to his own estate.

"If I chose to come to your home country in Maroua, it is to tell you how much I value your region. And to say also my commitment to him to take advantage of the great opportunities that are offered to our country "he said at the beginning, before returning to the conflict against Boko Haram, and the tribute paid by the populations towns and villages in this area for several years.
