Election 2018: Cardinal Tumi entreats the situation in the English-speaking regions

On the occasion of the meeting aimed at the organization of the all-English speaking conference (AAC), the commission led by Cardinal Christian Tumi expressed his indignation over the election on 7 October.

The commission implored an absence of almost all population of the English-speaking regions during the elections of last Sunday.

Moreover, after the eventful exits of the candidates to the elections, there was a strong reaction in the public opinion. This reaction sparked the fear of a possible insurgency orchestrated by the party of Maurice Kamto after announcing winner.

Thus, the team led by Cardinal Tumi and the RCM call the population to calm and also urges the government to provide an inclusive solution to the Anglophone crisis.
