Douala: 2 children have died in building collapse

Two children were killed in the landslide of a house in Ndogbong district, a town located in the 10th arrondissement of the city of Douala.

Coucou and Baby were affectionately called by their relatives, and the two innocent people suffered the consequences of an anarchic construction of the house in which they lived.

The drama according to a witness contacted on the spot occurred on the morning of this Monday, October 1, 2018 not far from the place called Ndogbong crossroads where two children aged 5 years and 03 years were brutally torn from life as a result of the landslide of the house in which they lived.

"The children were inside the house and suddenly the house that already had some physical failures collapsed on them.I really hurt in the place of their parents," said a neighbor.

The mother, still in shock, was immediately evacuated to a hospital for treatment.

Alerted, the firefighters immediately descended to the scene of the disaster and it is only after a few minutes of excavations that the dead bodies of the children were extracted from the rubble.

At the origin of this other accident that has just bereaved a family, some people evoke the anarchic construction and especially the use of inappropriate equipment during construction.
