CAN 2019: Seedorf revises its ambitions down

His first pitiful test in the Comoros brought him back to earth and surely made him lose his illusions for the title of CAN 2019, an objective emphasized in the contract that binds him in Cameroon. In a press conference Monday in Yaoundé as part of the training of the national team for the match against Malawi, Cameroon coach Clarence Seedorf has skimped on words when reacting to his ambitions.

"We are building our team (...) We are building for the future, and it would be great if our team did a great job at the next World Cup." The Dutch technician is now struggling to mention the title of African champion for which he was recruited.

Clearly more lucid than at first press conference on the bench of the Indomitable Lions, the former midfielder of AC Milan opens the doors of the national team to everything the world. "The selection is open to all Cameroonian footballers."
