two policemen killed while other seriously injured in Limbe


Two policemen were killed and another wounded in an attack Wednesday night at the police station of the 3rd district of Limbe according to police sources in the Southwest region.

"Two police inspectors of the class of 2016 were killed and a police inspector was shot in the neck and managed to flee.She is currently under intensive care, "said our source adding that the attackers burned the police station before the arrival of reinforcements.

In the north-west and south-west regions, fighting has become almost daily between the defense forces and armed groups claiming to be the "restoration forces" of the separatist movement.

More than 80 soldiers and policemen, as well as a hundred civilians have since been killed, according to the report drawn up in August by the spokesman of the Government. Some 160,000 people have fled their homes as a result of the violence, according to the United Nations, and 34,000 have fled to Nigeria.
