Diplomatic: 'Cameroon will join ECOWAS'

This is one of the flagship commitments of the candidate of the Popular Front for Development (FDP), Mr. Akéré Muna. In an interview with our colleagues from the pan-African television channel VoxAfrica, the instigator of the "Now" movement mentioned the possibility for Cameroon to join the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

"Cameroon will join ECOWAS if I am elected," suggested the president. An election promise that may leak a lot of ink in the coming days to believe some reactions, rather dismayed, Internet users on social networks.

At a press conference earlier this week, the candidate had already shocked more than one in favor of withdrawing the CAN 2019 organization in Cameroon.

"I hope we'll be ready, but when it's up to me to make the decision, it will be clear: the interest of CAN first. Because a poorly organized CAN is a shame for Cameroon because of its reputation. (...) I will take the necessary decision to safeguard the interest of the CAN. And if we are not ready, we must be modest in saying that we have done everything, but we are not capable. Instead of stubbornly go straight into the wall, "suggested the former president.
