Anglophone crisis: The administrative authorities of North-West and South-West who had to leave their posts because of insecurity in some districts will have to return there


Cin | The State of Cameroon wishes to mark its presence in some parts of the English-speaking area plagued by violence. In a note signed on September 7, 2018 and addressed to the Minister of Territorial Administration, the Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh "on very high instructions from the Head of State" orders the Minister of Territorial Administration Paul Atanga Nji to proceed in the presence of the representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the General Delegation to National Security, the Directorate General of External Research and the State Secretariat for Defense to the resettlement of certain administrative authorities in the Northwestern and Southwestern regions.

In the North-West region, there will be 8. 6 in the department of Menchum including 4 sub-prefects, 1 deputy prefector and 1 deputy district. The department of Momo will receive 2 prefects. In the South-West region, Lebialem will find 2 sub-prefects and 1 deputy district. Kupe-Manenguba will receive 1 sub-prefect. 2 sub-prefects will go to the Ndian. The Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic orders the requisition of the buildings necessary to house the services of the sub-prefectures burned or destroyed.

Minister Paul Atanga Nji had until September 10, 2018 to proceed with the relocations of the administrative authorities. They had to leave their posts "because of insecurity," as noted in the note by Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh.
