Ambazonia: a traditional chief kidnapped in Wotutu

Chief Elate John of Wotutu village, Buea sub-division, was reportedly abducted by armed men on Wednesday, 12 September, around 5 pm

According to some sources, Chief Elate John left Limbe the same day he sought refuge since the start of clashes in the English-speaking area. He did not know he was followed and observed by kidnappers.

Eyewitnesses said he had just got off a motorcycle when he was asked to ride on another motorcycle that was tracing his movements.

This situation leaves the Anglophone community confused and frightened as Chief Elate is just one of many Anglophone leaders kidnapped since the uprising in the English-speaking regions of Cameroon.
