CAF Official Visit To Cameroon Raises Tension

According to official sources, the inspectors of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) will graze Cameroon in August. For this third mission to visit construction sites, there is no question of sleeping under the laurels, the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Pierre Ismaïl Bidoung Mkpatt urges business leaders to double their efforts to avoid the least inconvenience that could harm Cameroon.

After the various inspection missions carried out from January 12 to 21, 2018 and March 19 to 22, 2018, the third mission promises to be already stormy for the host country of the 32nd edition of the African Cup of Nations ( Can), after several postponements of programming of the site visit mission by the Caf.

Does this postponement seem to be knowingly allowing the host country to catch up? With the arrival of 24 nations, the new format of the prestigious football festival requires innovations including new stadiums. During the meeting held on 5 July 2018 in Yaoundé between the Minister of Sports and Physical Education and the heads of the various companies to build the six hens, recommendations were made according to the specifications of the Caf.

Thus, the boss of the sports exhorts these different technicians to "solve the procedural problems for a better acceleration of the works in the various building sites; take steps to evaluate the progress of works in the sites of the Can Total Cameroun 2019 sites and that all the necessary steps be taken to reassure the inspectors of the next Caf mission to respect the commitments made " .
