Three Killed As Boko Haram Attack Oulfo, Far North

A237| An incursion led by armed individuals of the Islamist Boko-Haram sect yesterday Tuesday (June 26th) in Oulfo locality located in the Far North region, caused the death of three civilians.

The information received by our editors indicates that the three victims were attacked by the terrorists while they were doing fieldwork in this area.

According to the same source, this attack was also marked by the abduction of a woman who was taken to an unknown destination.

The attackers are said to have come from neighboring Nigeria and would have simply benefited from the absence of the Cameroonian defense forces in Oulfo to perpetrate this attack.

While a lull was felt in Oulfo since the progress made in the fight against Boko-Haram in 2017 by the multinational mixed forces (FMM), a coalition formed by the countries of the Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC), this surprise attack comes to demonstrate that the fight against terrorists in this part of the territory is far from complete.

The Islamist sect Boko-Haram has been in the north since 2014 has already caused the death of 2,000 people.
