Cameroonian soldier kills two people with a grenade in Kousseri, the Ministry of Defense initiates a procedure for its removal from the army

The explosion of the grenade will kill two people in the tavern: Master Corporal Adjia Géremi on duty at the 41st Motorized Infantry Battalion of Maltam, and Mrs. Marie Thérèse Koube, the bar's owner. In addition, 13 other people were injured.

Joseph Beti Assomo informs that "the wounded, including three serious but vital diagnosis uncommitted, were evacuated to Kousseri District Hospital. Master Corporal Salman Ndam Bouba and his sidekick Corporal Okou Ossake on duty at the 41st Maltam Motorized Infantry Battalion are currently being held in custody at the Kousseri Gendarmerie Company. "

The following measures were immediately taken: opening of a judicial inquiry by the gendarmerie under the authority of the Government Commissioner to the Far North Military Tribunal; initiation of a procedure for delisting from the Defense Forces of the two incriminated soldiers in accordance with the provisions of the general rules of procedure in force.

The minister delegate to the presidency in charge of defense transmits to the families of the deceased victims the condolences of the head of state, chief of the armed forces as well as his wishes of fast recovery to the wounded.
