CRTV| From the start of the 2018/2019 school year, the required contributions and the official examination fees will be paid to the mobile phone companies offering the services of electronic money, the money transfer companies, and the Post Office.

Memoranda of understanding were signed on Friday 1 st June 2018 in Yaounde between the Minister of Secondary Education, Nalova Lyonga Pauline Egbe and economic operators are Orange, Expression Union and Cameroon Postal Services (Campost), we learn in a report broadcast on the national radio station of CRTV.

These will be used, as of next September, wickets for the payment of tuition fees and official exams on behalf of the Ministry of Secondary Education. Objective: To ensure the transparency, security and traceability of these funds.

No more long queues before the stewardship in public institutions. No more distractions from exam fees that often occur in public and private institutions. In 2017, Mathurin Ayek Mvomo, principal of Nguelemendouka High School in the Eastern Region, was suspended for a period of four months for distracting the registration fees of first and final students in the Office's examinations. Baccalaureate of Cameroon (OBC).

The pot of roses was discovered when the sub-prefect of the district of Nguelemendouka asked to see the provisional lists and realized that the names of all the candidates for the examinations do not appear there.

Such misbehavior on the part of facility managers will no longer be possible. The convention signed this Friday is to secure the educational community in the digital age. School leaders appreciate this initiative. From now on, every parent or student, regardless of their region, is free to choose an economic operator to pay their tuition or exam fees.
