Cameroon - Anglophone Crisis: Paul Atanga Nji Attends A Mass For The Return Of Peace In The English-speaking Regions


Paul Atanga Nji, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralization participated in a Mass held last week for the return of peace in Cameroon which took place last Sunday at the Saint John Baptist basilica of Ekié in Yaoundé.

Catholic Orthodox Church of Cameroon Initiated the mass while the Minister participated as representative of the Head of State for the occasion.

In attending, Bishop Mathieu urged the faithful to work and fight for the return of peace in Cameroon in general. According to him, peace can not be obtained by force but through sincere dialogue.

The Minister of territorial administration and decentralization representing the Head of State in his speech congratulates the intervention of the preacher while reassuring the faithful that their multiple requests will be forwarded.

"Cameroon is a blessed state and no misfortune can shake it.The context of this celebration is special and the words of the primate Mathieu are well chosen," he added.

The English-speaking crisis, has being on  for 18 months, continues to haunt religious communities that call for dialogue for the return of peace and stability in Cameroon.
