A237| The humanitarian emergency plan announced by the President of the Republic continues to make donors. This time, it was the University of Douala who made talk about it with an amount of 22 million collected within this establishment.

It was during a meeting held Tuesday, July 10, for the collection of funds for the humanitarian emergency plan in the English-speaking regions that the heads of the faculties and the vocational training schools under the academic supervision of the university of Douala, have made their various contributions to the success of this initiative of the Head of State.

In total, a total amount of 22 million Fcfa was collected during this fund-raising ceremony initiated in this institution by the rector Prof François Xavier Etoa.

The highest amount recorded during this collection is 3 million Fcfa, a donation from the University Institute of Technology (IUT). The student community was not left out because, despite its many difficulties, it contributed up to 50,000 Fcfa.

The aid plan instructed by the President of the Republic on June 20 is the momentum of solidarity in favor of the victims of the so-called Anglophone crisis that has shaken the North West and South West regions for almost two years.

Estimated at a total amount of 12.7 billion FCFA, this sum will be distributed in the regions in crisis.
