Littoral region to raise funds for Anglophone crisis victims

JDC| In line with the Emergency Humanitarian Assistance Plan launched by the government of Cameroon to assist victims of the violence in the two English-speaking regions of Cameroon, the Littoral region is set to enter the fray early next week.

According to a communiqué signed by the Governor of the Littoral Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha Diboua, the region will proceed with a fund raising on July 2 in Bonanjo.

Thus, the Governor has called on all administrative authorities, Members of Parliament, Councillors, politicians, traditional and religious authorities, the civil society as well as businessmen to actively take part in the exercise.

The move from the Littoral region follows that from the South where elites raised the sum of 120 million francs CFA to assist the victims of the Anglophone crisis.

Elites of the Nort West and South West Regions last week raised over 236 million FCFA to launched the Emergency Humanitarian Assistance Plan.
